Dorothy A. OlsonPreston, Idaho - Dorothy Allen Olson, 96, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 5, 2015 at her home in North Logan, Utah. She was born on October 27, 1918 in Preston, Idaho to Ray Allen and Freda Larson. She married Reek Bloxham Wakley on November 12, 1935 in Downey, Idaho. They were later divorced. She later married David William Olson on June 28, 1963 in Preston, Idaho. Dorothy was an avid gardener and loved having a garden each year. She was a great baker and loved baking rolls. She worked at Snowie's Cafe in Preston for many years as well as the Sheriff's department. During World War II her favorite job was to get what sugar she could and make angel food cakes every day and sell them. She is survived by her children Ron (Carol) Wakley, of Pleasant Grove, Utah and her daughter Helen (George) Kekuna, of Hawaii, her seven grandchildren, Ronald (Elaine) Wakley, Reed (Dina) Wakley, David (Tiffany) Wakley, Denise Kapiko Kekuna, Debra Uilani (Greg) Chun, Betty Ipo (Glenn) Tomisato, and George Keoki Kekuna Jr., 17 great grandchildren Christopher, Eric and Jenna Wakley, Curtis, Cole, and Carter Wakley, and Jaron, Brayden, Bryce, Natalie, and Lindsay Wakley, Billy Kawai (Sarah); John Kai (Marissa); Bernard Kawehi, Brandon Kamana (Jenna) and Skyler Kawekiu, and six great-great grandchildren Azalia Kie, Ezra Kalama, Bradley Kamanu, Jacob Kaui, Ezekiel Koi, Bella Kai. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband David, an infant son Ray, a sister Elsie, and a brother Floyd.Memorial services will be held on Friday, April 17, 2015 at 1 p.m. at Webb Funeral Home, 1005 S. 800 East in Preston. A visitation will be held on Friday the 17 from 12-12:45 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Preston Cemetery.
