SmileyAge: 76 • Mount SidneyDoris Ann "Aggie" (Puckett) Smiley, 76, widow of Henry "Al" Smiley, of 58 Seawright Springs Road, passed away Friday, November 11, 2016 in the Carrington Place of Wytheville.Mrs. Smiley was born on June 29, 1940 in Augusta County, Virginia, a daughter of the late Marvin Daily Sr. and Maggie (Doyle) Puckett.Doris was a member of the Craigsville United Methodist Church, she was retired from Genesco-L-Greif Company as a seamstress, and she enjoyed playing Bingo and spending time with her pet cat, "Izzy."In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Andrew Puckett, Marvin Puckett, Jr. and Buddy Puckett and two sisters, Marian Connor and Bessie Bryant.Surviving is a daughter, Elizabeth S. "Libby" Copeland and her husband David of Max Meadows; a sister, Shirley P. Sprouse and her husband Albert of Stuarts Draft; two step-grandchildren, Kelly Smootz and Jessie Jones; a great nephew, "her buddy," Lukas Blake Sprouse, and a number of nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.A Graveside service will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 15, 2016 in Oaklawn Memory Gardens by Pastor Donald McClure.The family will receive friends anytime at the home of her sister, Shirley and Albert Sprouse, 661 Old White Hill Road, Stuarts Draft, Virginia 24477.It is suggested those desiring make memorial contributions to the , 1160 Pepsi Place, Suite 306, Charlottesville, Virginia 22901.Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive, Staunton is in charge of her arrangements.Condolences may be expressed to the family online at www.coffmanfuneralhome.net.
