Mohnen, Donna E.Donnabelle "Donna" Eleanor Mohnen, age 80, of Winchester, passed away on Sunday, October 29, 2017 at ThedaClark Hospital in Neenah, after reoccurring health problems. Donna was born on May 31, 1937 in Embarrass, WI to the late Willis and Myrtle (Retzlaff) Prellwitz. She grew up on the family farm with her 10 brothers and sisters in Clintonville. In September of 1957, she was united in marriage to Leo Mohnen at St. Rose Catholic Church in Clintonville. Donna worked at Zwicker Knitting Mills, where she became friends with Leo's sister Betty Kettner, who introduced the two. The rest is history. They lived in Menasha until they built their house in Winchester in 1965. The family resided there ever since. She loved to polka dance and listen to polka music. Donna was a great mother, but had her hands full with 6 children. Her pride and joy were her grandkids! She never missed a concert, game, or graduation.Donna is survived by her husband, Leo; children, Randy (Kelly) Mohnen, Steve (friend Lynn) Mohnen, Cheryl (Alan) Christianson, Kristy Mohnen, Jill (Tim) Hartjes and Shawn Mohnen; grandchildren, Alexandra and Jacob Mohnen, Nicholas and Molly Christianson, Katlin Hartjes, Kelcey Cullen and Anna and Zachary Hartjes; siblings, Jim (Sonja) Prellwitz, Roger (LaVonne) Prellwitz, Donald (Pat) Prellwitz, Willis Prellwitz Jr., Shirley Peeters, Robert (Beth) Prellwitz, Larry (Vickie) Prellwitz, Myrna (Phil) Sassman and Londa (Randy) Phillips; sisters-in-law, Carol Prellwitz, Rosalie Mohnen, Delores Waters, Roseanne Mohnen and in-laws, John Mohnen, Mary Vinz, James (Millie) Mohnen, Jeanette (Bob) Priebe, David Mohnen, Sharon (Bob) Beckman, Edward Mohnen, Paul (Nancy) Mohnen, Theresa Ishmael and brothers-in-law, Merlyn Kettner and Ken Peeters. Donna is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.Donna was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Chester Prellwitz; mother and father-in-law, Joe and Anna Mohnen; brothers-in-law, Phillip Mohnen, Richard Mohnen, Jerald Mohnen, Alan Waters, Gene Koch, and Warren Vinz and sister-in-law, Betty Kettner.The memorial service for Donna will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 5, 2017 at Borchardt Moder Funeral Home in Hortonville. Rev. Greg Watling will be officiating. Visitation will take place from 1-4 p.m. at the funeral home.
