A Celebration of Life

Sunrise

our beloved Dondi(Don) Antwan Nalls was born on October 2, 1981, in Fayette, AL to Roger Wilson and Paulette (Nalls) Johnson. He was baptized at an early age at Shady Grove Baptist Church in Fayette, AL.

In 1990, Don and his family moved to Minnesota. Once there, it didn’t take long for him to make new friends and get adjusted to the “city life” To know Don was to love Don. He was very caring, loving, and a loyal individual. He was never afraid to express to someone how he felt about anything and always kept it real with those around him. If you were just meeting him, you would think he was a little crazy but, the more you were around him, the more you would find yourself liking him, loving him and having the utmost respect for him. He spoke with a calm and mellow tone. You could never tell if he was serious or not until he would crack that infamous smirk.

As he was growing up, he experienced a few trails and setbacks but, with every one of those trails he would get wiser, smarter, and eventually matured into the young man that we have recently come to know. He was no longer “Lil Don” anymore; he was just simply Don, now. He was still the standup guy from way back but, he found greater joy in spending time with his family. Wheater it was a family BBQ, Birthday party, or baby shower, he was laughing and playing with the little kids or conversing a catching up with some of the family he hadn’t seen in a while.
