Donald Stephen Polkinghorn IIOctober 1, 1962April 6, 2017Donald S. Polkinghorn II passed away April 6, 2017 after his courageous battle with cancer. He passed peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family.Don was born on October 1, 1962 in Royal Oak, Michigan to Donald S. Polkinghorn I and Barbara Jo Polkinghorn. He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Suzanne, three children, Richard, Danielle, and Ashlee and grandson Leland. He was also a wonderful brother to Suzy, Daniel, and JoAnn and a loving uncle to his niece Heather and nephew Steven. Don always left everything he encountered in life in better shape than the way he found it. He was a very genuine person whose smile was infectious and personality would light up any room. He was a family man, father, husband, mentor, teacher, and friend. There simply wasn't a better man out there. He will be dearly missed by anyone who had the pleasure of knowing him.A celebration of life will be held at Walton's Funerals & Cremations on 600 W. Second Street in Reno on Monday April 17th at 11 a.m. with reception to follow.
