OSSIAN — Donald R. "Don" LeMaster, 95, of rural Ossian passed away, December 5, 2016. He was born on August 20, 1921 in Kendallville, a son of the late Hollie and Bess (Iddings) LeMaster. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a lifelong farmer, worked at General Electric, and he retired from International Harvester. He was active in Wheels of Yesteryear and was a leader with the Wells County 4-H for many years representing Jefferson Township. He will also be remembered as someone who loved just being involved with people. Surviving family include his wife, Betty; sons, James (Dee) LeMaster and Jack LeMaster; seven grandchildren, and 17 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was preceded in passing by two sisters and two brothers. Funeral service will be 2 p.m. on Friday, December 9, 2016 at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Funeral Home, 120 West Mill St., Ossian with visitation one hour prior. Visitation will also be from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, December 8, 2016 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Oak Lawn Cemetery, Ossian. Memorials may be made to Cancer Services of NE Indiana.
