Donald "Donnie" E. Swallow Sr.Muncie - Donald "Donnie" E. Swallow, Sr., passed away Saturday morning, February 25, 2017, at the Indiana University Ball Memorial Hospital following an extended illness.  He was born on November 27, 1952, in Muncie, the son of Thomas C. and Lorena (Vance) Swallow.Mr. Swallow attended Muncie City Schools and worked in construction for many years prior to his disability in 1989.  He enjoyed socializing with his family and friends, working with wood o various projects, fishing, and camping.He is survived by three sons, Donald Swallow, Jr. (wife-Melissa) and Amil Chester Swallow (companion-Jolene Ray), both of Muncie and Carl Swallow (wife-Sarah), Gaston; ten grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one brother, Larry S. Swallow (wife-Mona), Rayne, Louisiana; three sisters, Bonnie Whitehurst, Winchester, Lorena Crabtree, Whitley City, Kentucky and Dorothy Caine, Muncie; several nieces and nephews.He is preceded in death by his parents; step-father, Leon Bennett; two brothers, Thomas Swallow in 2007 and Jack Swallow in 2004; one infant sister, Margaret Ann Swallow.Graveside services will be held on Friday, March 3, 2017, at the Beech Grove Cemetery with Celebrant Craig B.
