Donald C. AndersZANESVILLE: Donald C. Anders, 82, of Zanesville, passed away at 4:30 a.m. Friday, March 13, 2015. He was born on July 15, 1932 in White Cottage a son of the late Walter and A. Nevada (Ankrum) Anders. He was retired from Rockwell International after 30 years of service. He was a United States
Army veteran of the
Korean Conflict. He was a lifetime member of the Zanesville
VFW Post #1058 and the Zanesville American Legion. He also oversaw the camping area at the Muskingum County Fair for 27 years. He is survived by his wife of 59 years Anna Eileen (Buchanan) Anders; two daughters, Connie Anders and Judy (Randy Naragon) Anders; two granddaughters, Amber (Keith) Moore and Heather Scaggs; one great-granddaughter, Makenzie Scaggs; one brother, Marvin L. Anders; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers Kenny, Wayne, and Walter "Chick"; three sisters Cory "Helen" Smith, Elizabeth Jean Willison, and Francis "Betty" Savage.Friends may call from 2-4 & 6-7 p.m. Mon. March 16, 2015 at William Thompson & Son Funeral Home 5765 Gladstone Drive in White Cottage where a funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Mon. March 16, 2015. Marsha Ashbaugh officiating. Burial will be in Fultonham Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Zanesville VFW Post #1058 1318 Putnam Ave. Zanesville, Ohio 43701.
