Donald R. BechtelApril 4, 1961 - November 3, 2016YorkDonald Ray Bechtel, 55, passed away on November 3, 2016 surrounded by his loving family. Donald was born on April 4, 1961 in Hanover and was the son of Leroy N. and Phyllis J. (Snyder) Bechtel. He graduated from York Vo-Tech in 1979. From 1979 to 1987 he worked at the Yorktowne Hotel as a chef, and from 1987 to 2012 he was the executive chef at the York Holiday Inn. When not working, he enjoyed spending his free time on the computer or cooking. In addition to his parents, Donald is survived by his brothers, Wayne L. Bechtel of Red Lion and Jonathan R. Bechtel and wife, Lynne of Lititz; and his three nephews and one niece. A memorial service in celebration of his life will be held on Saturday November 12 at 11 a.m. at St. Paul Wolf's ECC with Rev. Paul Guiliano officiating. A gathering will be held on Saturday November 12 from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church. Family services are under the direction of Beck Funeral Home & Cremation Service Inc., of Spring Grove.
