ARELLANODominic M.Dominic M. Arellano, age 25, of Holland, passed away Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at the University of Toledo Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. He was born on February 5, 1991, to Robert and Madonna (Dumas) Arellano in Toledo. Dominic graduated from Springfield/Penta Career Center in 2009 with his degree in welding. He was a graduate/apprentice with Boilermakers Local 85, attaining Journeyman status in 2013. Dominic was an avid fan of The Ohio State Buckeyes, San Francisco 49ers and the Detroit Tigers. He loved playing the guitar, the outdoors, fishing, hiking, camping and spending time with family and good friends. Dominic will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him. He was preceded in death by all of his grandparents, but having an extra special bond with his grandfather, Carlos H. Arellano. Dominic is survived by his loving parents, Robert and Madonna; siblings, Jessica (Joann) Arellano, Elizabeth (Nick) Scherting, Robert M. Arellano and Angela Thompson; fiancée, Amanda Denis; her daughter, Madelyn; son on the way, Noah Michael; nephews and nieces, Bobby, Odin, Nicholas, Isabella, Mardou; and many other family members and close friends. The family will receive guests on Sunday, December 4, 2016 from 12:00 - 6:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300) with Funeral Services beginning at 6:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Those wishing to make memorial contributions are asked to consider Racing for Recovery.
