COLUMBIA, MO. - Dolphus Compton Morrison, age 82, of Columbia, Mo., passed away at The Neighborhoods by Tiger Place on Wednesday, October 26, 2016. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 2, 2016, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., at Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home South with a 2:00 p.m. graveside service at Oakhill Cemetery in Moundville, Alabama with Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home South directing.Dolphus was born on February 25, 1934 in Phil Campbell, Ala. He was the son of Homer and Elma (Lowe) Morrison who preceded him in death. He was married on March 14, 1959 to Ellen Mills in Birmingham, Ala. who survives. Other survivors include three children, David Morrison of Columbia, Mo., Dean Morrison of Orlando, Fla. and Kathy Doisy (Richard) of Columbia, Mo.; four grandchildren, Justin Doisy (Annie), Jenna Doisy Kurtz (Karl), Rachel Doisy and Samantha Doisy; and two sisters, Myrtle Williams of Cross Creek, Fla. and Doris Dill of Eufaula, Ala. He was also preceded in death by one brother, Hollis Morrison. Memorials may be made to the .
