D.P. Martinez, 74, passed away on Thursday, August 27, 2009. He was born on September 6, 1934. D.P. moved from Harlingen, Texas to California in the early 1950's, there he got a job with the Southern Pacific Railroad and worked for them for the next 40 years, he was a truck driver/crane operator. D.P. is survived by his children, Jose Hugo, Dionicio Saul and Oralia Martinez; six grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. D.P. was preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Graciela Martinez; children, Rumaldo and Lourdes; parents, Catarino and Candelaria Martinez; several brothers and sisters.
