Bruha, DianeDiane Marie Bruha, 59, Appleton, passed from earthly life to Eternal Life after a lingering illness on Wednesday, November 16, 2016. She was born on May 28, 1957 in Lancaster, Wisconsin, daughter of Richard and Janice (Herzberg) Bruha. Diane graduated from Neenah High School in 1975, where she enjoyed participating in music and drama. She graduated from UW-Stevens Point in 1979 and began her career as a social worker. In 1985 she earned her Master's Degree in Counseling from UW-Oshkosh. Diane served as a guidance counselor in the Green Bay School District where she was a strong advocate for her students, always putting their needs first.Diane was a devoted mother, daughter, sister, and aunt. She raised her daughters to become strong, smart, young women. She also loved seeing her nephews grow up and start families of their own. Diane had many friends that meant the world to her. She was always interested in others and was a great listener. Her sense of humor and kind heart will be deeply missed.Diane is survived by her parents and daughters Paige and Tess Bruha. She is also survived by her brother David (Sharon) Bruha; sisters Marcia (Ernie) Klicko and Rachel (Paul) Hintz; nephews Aaron (Sarah) Hintz and Ethan (Ceara) Hintz; grandniece Aspen; uncles John Bruha, Donald (Veronica) Herzberg and Norbert (Carol) Herzberg; aunt Ilona (Jim) Paschke and many cousins. She is further survived by many friends and colleagues including Cathy Toll and David Fields.A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 26, 2016, at Martin Luther Ev. Lutheran Church located at 436 S. Lake St. in Neenah, with Pastor Jason Oakland officiating. The service will begin at 11:00 am; visitation will be from 9:00 am until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Martin Luther 75th Anniversary Fund or to ThedaCare - Cherry Meadows Hospice. The family of Diane would like to thank all those who provided her with such compassionate and tender care.
