Diana Jean TorreyMarysvilleDiana Jean Torrey, age 70, of Marysville, passed away on November 27, 2016, in McLaren Port Huron Hospital, surrounded by her loving family.She was born on July 15, 1946, in Port Huron, to Jeanea and the late Earl Torrey.Diana graduated from Port Huron High School and was a proud Spartan graduate of Michigan State University. She taught elementary school for many years at Ruth N Bacon and Kimball elementary schools where she was known for her love of her students and her dedication to them and their families.Memberships:  DKG (Delta Kappa Gamma Teachers' Organization) and McLaren Cornerstone Club.She is survived by her mother, Jeanea E. Torrey, brother, Thomas E. Torrey (Cathy), sister, Suzanne L. Hosner (Jerry), nieces, Stacie Jean Edington (David), Sarah Jane LaBeau (Michael) and Amy Elizabeth Sunday (Edmond), great-nephews, Benjamin LaBeau and Colin LaBeau, great-niece, Kaiya Edington, special cousins, Sherry Purcell and Bruce Reid and many cousins, family and friends.Diana was preceded in death by her father, Earl Torrey.Funeral services will be 11:00am Friday, December 2, 2016, in the Jowett Funeral Home, 1634 Lapeer Avenue, Port Huron.
