Diana Hess RACINE – Diana Hess, 86, passed away on Saturday, September 5, 2015. She was a lifelong resident of Racine, born on May, 8, 1929, the daughter of the late Herbert and Ernestine (James) Vaughan. On June 15, 1951 Diana graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a Bachelor’s Degree and was united in marriage the following day to LeRoy Hess, Jr. Diana had been a Social Worker for Racine County Human Services for many years. She enjoyed gardening, cooking and genealogy. She is survived by her children Heather (David) Saxton of Lomira, Kimberly Hess of Racine and LeRoy 'Roy' (Nancy) Hess III of Cornville, AZ; five grandchildren, Amy (Jeff) Stelk, Tim Saxton, Jessica (Alex) Nelson, Gunnar Hess and Meghan (Jason) Keller; 11 great grandchildren, brother and sisters-in-law, David (Marlene) Hess of Menomonie Falls and Margie Hess of Lockport, IL. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Diana is preceded in death by her husband, Leroy on July 27, 2015. Funeral services will be held at Sturino Funeral Home on Saturday, September 12, 2015 at 1030 a.m. There will be a time to meet with family from 10 a.m. until time of service. Diana will be laid to rest next to her husband in Mound Cemetery. Memorials to one’s favorite charity have been suggested.
