"It is with great sadness that the family of Diana Mackey announce her passing...."Diana Mackey, 61, of Summerton, South Carolina, passed Tuesday, June 23, 2020 after a long valiant battle with stomac cancer. Diana was born to Leroy Green, and Annie Mackey , January 25, 1959 in Yonkers, New York.
Diana graduated from White Plains High School in 1976. Diana decided to join the military after she had her one and only child.
Sgt. First Class Mackey served her country as a Supply Clerk in the 1st Cavalry Division of the US Army for 12 years. She had a passion for music and dancing. She often volunteered at her church to help the youth choir and praise dancing team. Her love for God was always on display she was a caring, giving, and prayng woman who will always lend a helping hand to anybody.

Diana is survived by 1 child: Franswan Mackey (Laneka Mackey), 3 grandcholdren: Domonique Mackey, Nyree Mackey, and Davion Mackey. Diane leaves behind 1 sister : Renee Williams of Columbus, Georgia,  1 great aunt : Virginia Black - Thomas of Summerton, South Carolina, and 1 nephew: Kaluve Jenkins, and 1 niece: Dekara Williams of Columnus, Georgia.  Diana wanted her homecoming to be a celebration of her life, so we encourage you to reflect on all the wonderful images you have of her and celebrae with tears of joy.

Her family paid this tribute to her. Diane was one of the kindest people you could ever meet She would open her heart and her home up to anybody in need, she will be sorely missed.
