Derrick Lanorris Little December 1, 1966 – December 12, 2018 Kickoff It all began in Athens, Georgia on December 1, 1966, when Alice Little and Melvin Little celebrated the birth of a smiling, baby boy. This son was named Derrick Lanorris Little. Derrick received his education in Athens, Georgia at Burney Harris Middle School, before graduating from Clarke Central High School in Athens with the Class of 1985. Gifted with size, ability and skill in Athletics, he excelled in the game of football, which led to a scholarship to attend the University of South Carolina. God continued to bless Derrick as this led to stints in the NFL and World Football League. Halftime Derrick was blessed with two handsome sons. Gregory Little, the son of Terry Lacy and Lanorris Hardeman, the son of Versie Hardeman. Derrick’s gifts were not limited to athletics and football, as he was also a good cook and loved music. The Victory On Friday morning, June 24, 2016, after Forty-nine years. Derrick Lanorris Little, was inducted into the “Heavenly Hall of Fame.” He was met in the Hall by other relatives who proceeded him in death, to celebrate. Derrick’s Big Heart and charisma, automatically shines down from above. Those that wait on the Lord; his blessed children, Lanorris Hardeman, Athens, Georgia, and Gregory Little, Allen, Texas; his loving mother, Alice Little, Allen, Texas; his father Melvin Little, Athens, Georgia; his siblings, Je’Mone Smith, Sonya Smith and Shirelle Baskin all reside in Allen, Texas; Uncles James Fair, Athens, Georgia, William Fair, Harrisburg, Pennsylvania; Aunt Linda Fair, Athens, Georgia; along with a caravan of other family members, Alumni, Teammates and friends who will forever cherish his wonderful memory.
