Dennis E. ShiveSeven ValleysDennis E. Shive, 64, died Tuesday April 11, 2017 at York Hospital following a brief illness. He was the husband of Karen S. (Wagner) Shive to whom he was married for 46 years.Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 15, 2017 at St. Peter's Church, 1708 Seitzville Road, Seven Valleys, with Pastor Thomas Beck officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. A viewing will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the church. The family request that you wear casual clothing. Dennis was born on July 15, 1952 in York and was a son of the late Francis G. and Janet E. (Wendt) Shive.He retired in 2015 from BAE Systems as a lead person in the packaging dept, after 40 years of employment.He was a member of St. Peter's Church and the Springfield Sportsmen's Club. He enjoyed raising Beagles, hunting, cooking and spending time with his family.Besides his wife he leaves a daughter, Janet M. Diaz-Flores of Reisterstown, MD; two sons, Eric G. Shive and wife, Laurie of Seven Valleys, and Andy J. Ruhland and wife, Karen of Spring Grove; nine grandchildren, Kyle, Maria, Jesus Jr, Madeline, Jose, Cowan, Peyton, Olivia and Whitney; two sisters, Sandra L. Lasater of York and Donna J. Striewig and husband, Stan of Thomasville; and son in law, Jesus Diaz-Flores. He was also predeceased by a sister. Judy A.
