Kramer, Delores L.Delores Lorraine (Sather) Kramer died peacefully on April 3, 2017 at Rennes Health and Rehab Center in Appleton.Delores was born on October 26, 1937 at home in Spring Lake Township, rural Pierce County. She was the daughter of Orin and Emma (Henkel) Sather.Delores met her future husband, Arvid Kramer, at Martin Luther High School in New Ulm, MN. They dated through high school and Arvid's college years, listening to their special song, "Unchained Melody" by the Righteous Brothers. Arvid and Delores were married on June 13, 1959. They started their married life in Sanborn, MN, and then moved to Reedsville WI, before settling in Appleton in 1966.Delores worked at various positions, including as a beautician, and later as a Clerk of Courts at the Outagamie County Courthouse. In later years she was the caregiver for Arvid as his health deteriorated. She enjoyed gardening, and fed her family all year long with the vegetables she raised. She canned many quarts of pickles, baked many loaves of zucchini bread, and made jam for her children and their families. Everyone looked forward to her cookies at Christmas, especially her rum cookies. She enjoyed teaching other adults, whether it was financial counseling or bible study, and did that for many years as a volunteer. She very much enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Delores was a member of Appleton Alliance Church and had a deep and abiding love for the Lord Jesus, and she is now in His glorious presence.Delores is survived by her children, Cindi (Dean) Guyer, Bellevue WA; Brian (Kim) Kramer, Sherwood WI; and Erik (Beth) Kramer, Greenville WI; and 8 grandchildren: Sam (Lynn) Guyer, Kerry Guyer, and Ben Guyer; Shayne (Sonia) Kramer, Alyssa Kramer (Eric); Ben (Heather) Bohl, and Alex and Eli Kramer. Delores also had one great-grandchild, Dakota Kramer. She is also survived by her sister, Norma Jean Canfield, and her brother, Elwyn (Pete) Sather.She was preceded in death by her husband, Arvid who died on Jan 27, 2009, and by her brother Ronald (Ronnie).A memorial service will be held at Appleton Alliance Church on Wednesday, April 12 at 11 AM with visitation from 9 - 11 AM.
