FREMONT — Dean Palmerton, age 86, of Fremont, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday February 5, 2014, at his home. He was born on February 1, 1928, in Ray, Michigan, the son of Ernest and Imo A. (Sowle) Palmerton. They preceded him in death. He married Barbara Foulk in 1953 in Angola, Indiana, and she preceded him in death May 28, 2011. He worked for Associated Truck Lines in Coldwater, Michigan, and Farm Bureau of Fremont, Indiana, and also worked in Florida as a truck driver and was an owner operator. He was a 1946 graduate of Fremont High School. He was United States Army veteran, serving during the Korean War, and was a member of the Northeastern Lodge # 210 F & AM, Fremont, Indiana. Survivors include two daughters, Lorie and Mark Knisely of Fremont, Ind., and Sherry and Doug Bressler of Fremont, Ind.; one son, Dennis and Patricia Palmerton of Fremont, Ind.; seven grandchildren, Mandy and Kristopher Kleeberg, Breanna and Brandon Derrow, Perry Palmerton, Ryan Palmerton, Melanie and Tim Constantino, Robin and Sam Guagenti and Mitchell Knisely; four great-grandchildren, Zach, Maximus, Andrew and Kelynn; three stepgreat-grandchildren, Kurt, Meya and Aiden; one sister, Louise and Earl Kinnison of Stroh, Ind.; one brother, Terry and Linda Palmerton of Garrett, Ind., and his two family pet dogs, Buster and Max. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; two brothers, Donald Palmerton and Bill Palmerton; and one sister, Myra Jean Mounts. Visitation hours will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. on Saturday, February 8, 2014, at Beams Funeral Home, Fremont, Ind.
