BRIGHAM CITY - Our loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend, DeLoris Anderson Hill, 80, passed away peacefully with her family surrounding her on Saturday, April 18, 2009, at Country Lanes Assisted Living Center in Brigham City, Utah. She was born on June 17, 1928, in Wellsville, Utah, a daughter of Orval Wyatt and Rosella Fensky Anderson. DeLoris married Dell Hill on Jan. 18, 1946 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple on June 17, 1947. He preceded her in death on May 22, 1982. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving in various callings. DeLoris retired from 35 years of waitress service at Maddox to take care of her ailing father. She also owned and managed rental apartments. DeLoris and her son, Blake, developed Hill Haven PUD subdivision in Perry, Utah. She was an accredited genealogist and worked professionally in it. DeLoris enjoyed working, doing family history research and taking care of her family. Surviving are two daughters, Holly (Tharon) Bell and Rose A. Hill, both of Brigham City; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Neal Anderson, LaDell (Pete) Anderson and Dr. Jeffrey Anderson; and one sister, Velma Dawn George. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Dell; and two sons, Blake A. Hill and Archie Dell Hill. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 23, 2009, at the Brigham City South Stake Center, 865 S. 300 West. A viewing will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Gillies Funeral Chapel, 634 E. 200 South, Brigham City, UT, and at the church on Thursday from 10 to 10:40 a.m. Interment will be in the Wellsville City Cemetery.
