David W. VanBuskirkUPPER SANDUSKY: David W. VanBuskirk of Upper Sandusky, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, June 4, 2017 at St. Vincent Mercy Hospital in Toledo, Ohio. David was born on October 4, 1967 in Kenton, Ohio to Harry David VanBuskirk and Sarah Louise Prince-VanBuskirk, both of whom preceded him in death. His step-mother, JoAnn VanBuskirk survives in Marseilles, Ohio. His spouse, Rachel Ekleberry survives in Upper Sandusky, Ohio.David is also survived by 3 sons: Ryan Stanley VanBuskirk of Bucyrus, Ohio, Coty (Erica) Decker of Carey, Ohio and Dylan Mallery of Upper Sandusky, Ohio. Two daughters, Megan Rogers of Bucyrus, Ohio and Cheyenne Mallery of Upper Sandusky, Ohio, also survive. Two grandchildren, Shaelee Stanley and Quinn Stanley also survive. A sister, Rosalie VanBuskirk Eulett of Upper Sandusky, Ohio also survives. Special nieces and nephews are: Gary and Phillip Eulett and Misty, Carolina, Oakley and Hunter Ekleberry.David was a union construction worker for many years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting mushrooms and Johnny Cash. David loved his cat, Oscar, his dog, Sparky and spending time with family and friends.Funeral services for David VanBuskirk will be held at 4:00pm on Wednesday, June 7th at Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky, Ohio with the Rev. Ray LaSalle officiating. Visitation will be held from 1:00pm-4:00pm on Wednesday, June 7th at Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky, Ohio.Memorial contributions may be made to the David VanBuskirk Memorial Fund and may be sent to Lucas-Batton Funeral Home 476 S.
