RACINE - David Rodney Feehrer, age 73, of Racine, passed away on August 29, 2016 with his family by his side. David was born on May 27, 1943 to the late Howard and Rose Belle (nee: Troxell) Feehrer in Racine, WI. He married the love of his life, Shirley Christoplis on November 27, 1962. David was employed by Webster Electric, Boston Store, Advanced Mechanical, R & B Grinding, and The Village of Elmwood. He spent his free time bowling, playing cards and Farkle, or going to rummage and estate sales. David loved having his morning coffee with the guys, scratch off tickets and playing the slots. He was an avid Chicago Bears fan and always admired Walter Payton. David is survived by his wife Shirley, son, Todd (Rebecca) Feehrer; daughter, Nicole (Mark) Fredrick; grandchildren: Jessica (Jeremy) Celeste, Melissa Fredrick, and Sydney Feehrer; great grandchildren: Carter, Harley, Ashton, and Cameron; sisters: Julie (Bernie) Griese and Lynn Resar; brothers in law; Nick (Sue) Christoplis, and James Christoplis plus nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. David was preceded in death by: his parents, and sister in law, Katherine Gorsky. A Celebration of David’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 3, 2016 at Wilson Funeral Home. A time of visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Interment will be held at Graceland Cemetery following the service.
