David Ray, 67, of Detroit, Michigan, passed Tuesday, May 19, 2020. David was born to David S. Ray, and Doris M Ray, September 21, 1952 in Detroit, Michigan.

David graduated from Chadsey High School in 1970 and received a degree from Wayne State University in 1974. He married Maryann McCutchin Ray in 1970, and they lived together in Detroit. David worked at Foreman at Ford Motor Company until he retired in 2015.

David is survived by 3 children: David Ray lll, Anthony D Ray, and Yvonne F Ray. A host of nephews : Chris Reed David Reed Tony Reed, a host of nieces Toneka Reed Selena Moore and Charmaine Wright. And a host of family and friends.

David Ray believed in family first and the Lord. His favorite pastime was bowling and fishing he especially loved to sit in the park and play checkers or chess.  He was a man of few words unless it was about politics then he could talk all day.  Even though he isn't with us and is present with the Lord he is still smiling and looking over us. He wouldn't want us to grieve but to remember all the joy he got from loving us all.
