Kurtz, David M.David M. Kurtz, 60, died on Friday, March 31, 2017 at Arbor View Court Assisted Living in Wisconsin Rapids. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, April 7, 2017 at St. John's Lutheran Church, Pittsville, where the family will receive relatives and friends from 10:00 am until service time. Rev. Gary Markworth will officiate. Burial will be in Mound Cemetery, Pittsville. Buchanan / Rembs Funeral Home is assisting the family. David was born on June 9, 1956 in Marshfield, to James and Evelyn (Markee) Kurtz. David lived with his parents until March 2010 after they moved to Bethel Center. He then lived with his sister until January 2015 when he moved to Arbor View Court. David enjoyed music, especially polkas, watching TV, sports, bowling, going to auctions and garage sales. Also when he was younger he participated in Special Olympics. He enjoyed working at his job, working with ceramics most of his adult life. He was last employed at Innovative Services in Marshfield, where he worked until December 2014. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Pittsville.He is survived by his brother, Lynford Kurtz of Pittsville and his sister, Arlene (Robert) Hoppe of Marshfield. He is also survived by 2 nephews, Paul Hoppe Sr. and James Kurtz, both of Pittsville, and 2 nieces, Teresa (Dan) Mohler of Pittsville and Dorie (Brad) Lueck of Granton. He was predeceased by his parents. The family would like to thank the staff of Arbor View Court and Heartland Hospice for their wonderful care of David.
