David Esquibel, 53, a lifetime resident of Las Vegas, passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2015, at University of New Mexico Hospital in Albuquerque.He was born on June 4, 1961 in Las Vegas to the late Adelaido Esquibel and Flora Anaya.David served in the United States Army. He was a Catholic and attended Immaculate Conception Church in Las Vegas. He loved his two children, family and friends. He was a good-hearted person with a funny sense of humor. David was a diesel mechanic.He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Jean Garcia, grandson, Jason Josh Esquibel, nephews, Robert and Kenneth Esquibel; great- niece, Audrianna Lujan and brother-in-law, Donald Martinez.He is survived by his son, Demetrio Esquibel Jr. (April); daughter, Leticia Serna; and fiancée, Lisa Sena, all of Las Vegas; grandchildren, Demaris Esquibel, Nora Lynn Esquibel, John Demetrio Esquibel and Zeriah Esquibel; brother, Adeliado Esquibel III (Theresa) of Albuquerque; sisters: Nancy Lujan of Rio Rancho, Carmen Esquibel (Floyd) Gascon, Eliza Trujillo of Rio Rancho, Irene Martinez of Las Vegas, Evelyn Tapia (Ray) Phoenix, Vicky Esquibel, Bertha Esquibel, Juanita Velasco (Fred), and Lorraine Trujillo (Cruz), all of Flagstaff, Ariz.; and Geneva Garcia of Santa Fe; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.Rosary services will be held at 7 p.m. Friday at Immaculate Conception Church in Las Vegas. Funeral will be conducted at 9 a.m. Saturday also at Immaculate Conception Church with Father George V. Salazar as celebrant. Interment will follow at San Jose Cemetery in Las Vegas with the following serving as casket bearers: Ricky Silva, Andrew Esquibel, Anthony Flores, Gene Esquibel Jr., Adrian Esquibel and James Esquibel.
