Darlene F. Christensen, age 81, passed away peacefully, in her home, surrounded by family, on November 16, 2016. Darlene was born on April 10, 1935 to the late Phillip and Josephine (Schmidt) Hanson in Deer Creek, WI. She graduated as Valedictorian from Bear Creek High School. Darlene married the love of her life, Stanley Christensen, on September 17, 1955 in Bear Creek. Darlene was an Administrative Assistant for United Way for over 20 years. Darlene loved gardening, fishing, gambling, especially in Laughlin, NV, traveling, cooking, camping, and spending time with her family.Darlene is survived by her loving husband, Stanley; three children, Bryan (Cheryl), Bruce (Clara), and JoAnne (Tracy) Christensen; two grandchildren Orin (Ashley), and Shena (Dave) Mason; and three great-grandchildren, Lilliana, Logan, and Landon.Darlene is preceded in death by her eight brothers and sisters.Services for Darlene will be held at 1:00PM on November 19, 2016 at the Konrad-Behlman Westside (100 Lake Pointe Dr. Oshkosh, WI, 54904). Visitation will be held from 11:00AM until the time of service. Rev. Jeff Berg will be officiating.
