Kieffer, Daniel JohnDaniel John Kieffer, 58, of Jacksonville, North Carolina, and formerly of Loyal, Wisconsin, died suddenly Saturday, December 24, 2016, in Jacksonville.Daniel was born on December 2, 1958 in Crystal Lake, Illinois, the son of Carl and Genevieve Kieffer. Daniel was a 1976 graduate of Loyal, High School. After several jobs working in the oil field, and for the Union Pacific Railroad, Daniel joined the U.S. Navy, where he spent twenty years serving his country.Survivors include his 2 brothers, Richard, Forest Grove, Montana, Thomas, Loyal Wisconsin, 2 sisters, Nancy Weaver, Broomfield, Colorado and Kim Herzing, Thermopolis, Wyoming.Daniel was preceded in death by both his parents and his sister Jennifer. A memorial service is planned for later this year. DannyK will be missed by his brothers, sisters, his good friend and shipmate, Sam Hartley, and his many other friends from over the years.
