Dale R Pendergrass, 57 passed away on July 1, 2017 in Alamogordo, New Mexico. He was born on August 18, 1959 in Visalia, California to Floyd and Lou Pendergrass. Dale grew up in the San Joaquin Valley of California, getting into plenty of mischief with his brothers and cousin! He met his wife, Kathy, at Point Loma Nazarene University from which he earned a Bachelor of Science degree with an emphasis in Computer Science. He worked in the private sector in San Diego, CA for many years before he and his family moved to Alamogordo where he was employed at HAFB as a Chief of Systems Administration. Dale was an avid fan of science-fiction, especially Star Trek. He was incessantly curious, fascinated by how every technological device worked. He enjoyed cycling, often riding his bicycle to explore the area. He loved people and cared deeply about his friends, family, and coworkers. He was frequently the source of laughter and amusement in any group. He attended Grace United Methodist Church where he enjoyed volunteering as a sound tech. Dale was most proud of his brand new grand baby, Samuel. Go "Pop-Pop"!Survivors include his wife Kathy; son Rev. Weston; daughter-in-law Rev. Chrisie; grandson Baby Samuel; father Floyd, wife Valerie; mother Lou, husband Gary; mother-in-law Inez; brother Mike; sister-in-law Sharon; nephew Michael; niece April; brother-in-law Charles; loyal dog Buddy; and many other loved ones. He was preceded in death by his brother Ken, and father-in-law Charles. The memorial service for Dale will be held Friday, July 7, at 2:00 PM at Grace United Methodist Church in Alamogordo with Rev.
