Dale “Eddie” MossApril 15, 1935 - Nov. 09, 2016MISHAWAKA - Dale “Eddie” Moss, 81, of Mishawaka, IN, passed away at 10:17 a.m. Wednesday, November 9, 2016 at Memorial Hospital, as a result of an automobile/pedestrian accident.He was born on April 15, 1935 to the late Kenneth and Linda (Gaddy) Moss in South Bend, IN, and was a lifelong area resident. Along with his parents; he was preceded in death by four sisters, Catherine, Anne, Jerry, and Pat; and three brothers, Ted, Carol, and Sonny Moss.Dale retired in 2000 from the University of Notre Dame, where he worked as a Custodian from 1986 - 2000. Prior to that, he worked at Studebaker and the Bendix Corp. He also had worked as a part time “lot boy” at Minder Auto Sales. On May 5, 1956, he married Marlene R. Minder in South Bend, IN. She preceded him in death on May 15, 2007. Eddie is survived by his two daughters, Susan (Ron) Snyder of Niles, MI; Jackie (Kevin) Simonson of Niles, MI; one son, Todd Moss of Sebring, FL; six grandchildren, Angie, Chris, Erin, Rachel, Alicia, and Derrick; seven great-grandchildren, Ashlynn, Kaylum, Kayanna, Shaylynn, Marlena, Laylah, and Kye; and one sister, Lucille Allison of South Bend, IN. Eddie was a U.S. Army Veteran. He enjoyed playing the Marble Game; the lottery; and LOVED to play cards, especially euchre and Geronimo with his family and friends- no card game will ever be the same without Eddie. Eddie was also a huge Notre Dame Fan.Visitation will be from 2-4 p.m. Monday, November 14, 2016 at Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, South Bend, IN, where a Funeral Service will follow at 4:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, with Pastor Paul Deeds officiating.
