Dakota Alan Hunter, of St. James, MO, passed away Friday, October 21, 2016 at the age of 18.He was born on June 7, 1998 in Gray Summit, MO to Robert Alan Hunter and Joyce B. (Whitman) Hunter. Dakota loved playing music and listening to music. He loved making other people happy.He was preceded in death by his grandfather, John Hunter in 2008 and a great grandmother, Dessie Bowenschulte. Dakota will be sadly missed by his surviving family which includes: his mother, Joyce B. Hunter and Allen Freeman of St. Peters, MO; his father, Robert A. Hunter and fiancée Sandy Kozowski of St. James, MO; brothers, Chance Hunter of St. James, MO, Eric Strosnider of O'Fallon, MO, Steve Kozowski of St. James, MO and Brian Kozowski of St. Clair, MO; sisters, Tereva Corley and husband Matt of St. Peters, MO, Mariah Taylor and husband Alex of St. Louis, MO, and Gabrielle Underdown and husband David of St. Louis, MO; grandparents, Wanda Hunter of St. James, MO, Barbara Roach of Bourbon, MO and Ellie and Ellis Whitman of FL; numerous aunts, uncles, and other extended family.A funeral service for Dakota A. Hunter will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Friday, October 28, 2016 at the Null and Son Funeral Home in Rolla. Interment will follow in the Ozark Hills Memorial Gardens Cemetery. A visitation for family and friends will be held from 5-8 p.m. on Thursday, October 27 at the funeral home.Memorial contributions are suggested to the family to assist with funeral and hospital expenses.
