Daisy Wiginton1933 - 2014Daisy N. Rusty Wiginton, 80, a resident of Kenosha, died Wednesday, Sept. 10, 2014, at her residence.Daisy was born on Oct. 10, 1933, in Zanesville, Oh. She was the daughter of Lavellen Shorty and Helen (Weakly) Newell. She graduated from Jefferson High School in Dresden, Oh., in 1951. Daisy proudly served her country in the United States Air Force from 1951 until 1954 as a Senior Communications Center Specialist.She moved to Kenosha in 1954. In 1962 and again on January 15th, 1972, she was united in marriage with Bernard N. Wiginton. Bernie would precede her in death on September 28, 1993. Daisy worked at Warwick in Waukegan, at Charmglo and at Cherry Electric in Waukegan. She retired in 1976 due to health problems.Daisy had many interests including swimming, bowling, fishing, crocheting and knitting, eating out at Felicias Restaurant and dancing on Saturday nights at Georges Club Highview.Daisy is survived by her brother Joseph (Minta) Newell of Philo, Ohio and several nieces and nephews. She is further survived by her longtime friend Sheryl and Rick Smith and their family.Daisy was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, her step mother Cecilia Newell, and her brother Cecil Buzz Newell and her sister Mary Corder.Special thanks to the staff members at Kenosha Medical Center, Hospice Alliance and Manor Care and to her Special Angels Zelma, Joanna, Stephanie and Ben, Christina and Craig, and Mary and Nancy.In accordance with her wishes there will be no funeral, however a memorial service will be announced at a later date.Casey Family Options Funerals and CremationsStephen P.
