BONADIES, DORIS LILLIAN Doris Lillian Bonadies, 94, passed away on Tuesday, November 1, 2016 in North Miami, FL. She was the wife of the late Mario F. Bonadies for 35 years prior to his passing. She was born on September 21, 1922 in Philadelphia, PA to the late Frank and Florence Gaskill Blum. Doris is a graduate of Willam Smith College in Geneva, New York. She moved to Miami, FL in the 1950’s. It is there she would meet her husband, go to work as a Secretary for many years with American Savings and Loan and become an active member of St. Mary’s Cathedral. She was also a member of their choir and even sang for Pope John Paul II on his visit to Miami. She leaves a son James Constantino (Brenda) Bonadies of Miami, FL, a step daughter Alice (Philip) Waterhouse of Miami and their twins, granddaughter Alexandra and Grandson Nikolas Bonadies. A Graveside service will be held on Saturday, November 12, 2016 at Beaverdale Memorial Park, Hamden at 10:30 am. The East Haven Memorial Longobardi - Brennan Funeral Home, 425 Main St., East Haven, 203-467-1708 is in charge of arrangements. There will be no calling hours.
