Donald Haig Hinshelwood, Jr., 68, of Germantown, TN passed away July 14, 2015 surrounded by his family. He was born on January 20, 1947 in Richmond, VA. He was in Boy Scouts for over 50 years, as a scouter, a leader and a scoutmaster. He was an Eagle Scout and he mentored over 80 Boy Scouts to obtain the rank of Eagle Scout throughout his years as Scoutmaster. He graduated from Virginia Military Institute and entered the Army and served in Vietnam. He was very active in his church as a youth leader, choir member and a spiritual example to his family and friends. His sense of humor was one of his greatest personality traits. He is survived by his wife, Laura of 45 years and two children, Scott (Leigh) and Donna Stines (Jeremy) and five grandchildren, Caroline, Ashlyn and Kevin Hinshelwood and Drew and Hailey Stines. He is also survived by three sisters, Joan McMinn, Keith Lilly, and Lou McKinney and one brother, Geoff. He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Mary Keith Hinshelwood.
