Cynthia "Cindy " Rae Barkley, 38, of Lubbock, Texas, passed away on Friday, January 27, 2017 at her residence. Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, January 31, 2017 and Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, February 1, 2017 at the West Funeral Home Chapel. Deacon Tony Dominguez of San Jose Catholic Church will officiate. Services have been entrusted to West Funeral Home. Condolences may be expressed at westfuneralhomellc.com. Cynthia Rae Marshall was born on March 21, 1978 to Billy and Karen (Evans) Marshall in Carlsbad, New Mexico. Cindy graduated from Carlsbad High School in 1996, after which she attended NMSU in Carlsbad where she studied nursing. On July 20, 1996 she married the love of her life, Charles Barkley. Cindy was a loving mother, caring wife, and a loyal friend. Cindy was known for her gentle spirit, caring heart and quick wit. Anyone that had the pleasure to spend time with her quickly fell in love with her. She was preceded in death by her mother Karen Evans and father Billy Marshall as well as her sister Lynette Lloyd. Cindy is survived by her husband Charles Barkley, her beautiful children Chelby, Christian, Cameron and Caleb. Also her grandmother Joyce Evans, brothers Billy and Jim Marshall and nieces and nephews Bryan and Matthew Ford, Nicolas and Alex Burris, Shaelynn and Kiera Plasters.
