Curtis Marks Sr., 27, of Alexandria, Louisiana, received his wings of glory Saturday, May 30, 2020. Curtis was born to Tamera Marks, January 2, 1993 in Alexandria, Louisiana. He was educated in the Rapides Parish Schools, graduating from Bolton High School in 2012. He later went on to play Middle Linebacker and graduate with honors from Arkansas Baptist College in Little Rock, Arkansas with an Associate’s Degree in General Studies in 2015.

The ABC campus came to love two things about Curtis or “Curt” as many called him, his contagious and captivating smile and his clippers. He was the campus barber. At ABC, Curtis met and fell in love with Raven McJoy and together in 2015 they had twins, Curtis Patrick Marks, Jr. and Cassidy Renee Marks.

Curtis was preceded in death  by his Grandmother Rose Marks; Aunt Twanda Marks; Great Grandparents Getrude Lamell and Wash Veal; and his foster Grandparents Eva Mae and Johnny Lee Mickles.

As the spirit of love and inspiration that flowed freely through Curtis, he leaves to carry his legacy his children Curtis Patrick Marks, Jr. and Cassidy Renee Marks and the love of  his life their mother Raven McJoy of Lake Village, AR. He leaves to cherish his life his mother Tamera Marks, Great Aunt Edna Ricks(John); sisters Daphane Marks and Aliyah Hunter; niece Tashia Reed; Aunt Elisa Marks ; Uncle Derrick Marks(Debra) all of Alexandria, LA. His Uncle Adrian Marks(Foxy) of Jacksonville, FL. Big cousins Demmetric(Veronda); John(Shawn); Marcus; Telisha Ricks; Amber Willis (Brodrick); Devetrick Marks; Avron Marks; Kenneth Williams; Adrian Marks Jr.; Zannah Moore; Derek Butts, Jr.; Jeremiah Marks;  Alaysia Marks; Keeshon Thompson; Demmetriana Ricks; John Ricks, Jr.; Imani Ricks; best friends Deterrius Molette; Martravius Dorsey; and Jordan Pickett, Sr.; and his foster family the Moser’s all of Alexandria, LA.; and a host of other loving family and friends.
