Loving Husband, Father, and Grandfather Age 88, of Mendota Heights, MN, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, November 1, 2016 surrounded by his loved ones. He is survived by his beloved wife of 59 years, Shirley; children, Paul (Julie), Ann (Paul), Caren (Jeff), and Tom (Marnie); and ten grandchildren. Curt was born on June 12, 1928 in Breckenridge, MN to Lester and Barbara (Korinek) Bute. He attended North Dakota State University and went on to earn a Masters degree in Electrical Engineering from Northwestern University. He retired from Sperry Rand/Unisys in 1990. Curt loved to golf, travel the world with his wife, and spend time with his family. He was a self-taught carpenter and would tackle any project that came his way, from building houses to designing furniture. He will be remembered for his selflessness, his service to others, and his kind heart. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11 AM on Friday, November 11, at the Church of St. Joseph 1154 Seminole Avenue West St. Paul, MN with visitation one hour prior. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Convent of the Visitation School or Saint Thomas Academy in Mendota Heights, MN.
