It is with great sadness and sorrow that we announce the passing of our mother and grandmother, Cruz Ramirez. Cruz was born on December 14, 1922. She was one of ten children to Pilar and Martina Sabedra and spent the majority of her life in Oxnard.

Cruz enjoyed chatting on the phone with friends and relatives, watching her favorite TV shows, rooting for the Dodgers, and having her home filled with the company of family. She took pride in preparing her signature dishes for special occasions and also, just because. Cruz was actively involved in her church and enjoyed going to social gatherings. 
Cruz will be forever remembered for her generosity and love for life. We were fortunate to have spent so many wonderful years with her and she will be deeply missed. 

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Joseph Ramirez, and her daughter, Tina Luna. We take comfort in knowing they are together once more.

She is survived by her son, Joseph (Irene) Ramirez, daughters, Madeline Ramirez and Genevieve Ramirez, nine grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, her brothers, Joseph, Daniel, and Lazaro Sabedra, sister, Lala Rocha, and numerous family and friends.
