Craig Jerome CordovaVentura, CACraig Jerome Cordova, 51, passed away in his sleep during the night of Friday, March 3, 2017.Craig was a native of Oxnard and was born on December 17, 1965.Craig lived in Camarillo as a child, later moving to Sacramento and then back to Ventura where he attended Buena High School. (He loved to tell people he went to the same school as Kevin Costner!) He enjoyed taking art classes at Ventura College and had the experience of a lifetime when he went to Italy on a trip organized by one of his professors. He enjoyed sharing his quirky humor ("was that mountain there in 1965?") and amazing memory--of friends' birthdates, history, family lore and movies--with his family and friends. His favorite pasttime was to go fishing with his father. He was a good person and a character who will be forever missed. He is at home in heaven now, and his soul is at peace.Craig is survived by his father, Jerry Cordova (Myrna Winer) of Ventura, his mother, Utahna Norman of Rocklin, CA, and his sister, Teresa Cordova of Sacramento, CA. He leaves beloved aunts and uncles in Camarillo, Citrus Heights, and Auburn, CA as well as loving cousins in Camarillo, Citrus Heights, Forest Hill, and Chico, CA.A funeral service is planned for 10:00 a.m., Friday, March 10, in the chapel of Camino Del Sol Memorial Center and Funeral Home, 200 North C St, Oxnard, CA. Burial will follow in Ivy Lawn Memorial Park, 5400 Valentine Rd., Ventura. A reception at Clubhouse #2 at Todd Ranch (Telephone Rd) in Ventura, CA.
