ANGOLA — Corlin "Corky" D. Quick, age 70, of Angola, Indiana, passed away at his home Saturday, September 13, 2014, with his family by his side. He was born on December 13, 1943, in Orland, Indiana, the son of Garrette Wayne and Lena Marie (Knapp) Quick, and they preceded him in death. He married Marie Annette (Teeters) on May 29, 1976, at Clear Lake, Indiana. Corky was a 1964 graduate of Brighton High School in LaGrange County. He loved to play and follow sports, and especially loved cross country running. He coached for many softball, volleyball, and basketball teams. He was a licensed referee for basketball and volleyball. He followed Indiana Basketball and the Indianapolis Colts sports teams, and he loved hunting, fishing, and camping. He had a love of the Lord and a heart of a servant and was a member of the Sonlight Communty Church, Angola, Indiana, and served as a church elder for four years. He retired from the Dana Corporation after 30 years in 1996. He also was the co-owner of the family studio, Memories By Marie, in Angola. He was a member of several photography associations, and he loved nature photography, and being outside capturing God's creation. Survivors include, his wife, Marie Teeters Quick of Angola, Indiana; six children, Jennifer (Tim) Rumsey of Angola, Indiana, Jodie Quick of St, Louis, Missouri, Andrew Quick of Ohio, Tabatha Fidler of Angola, Indiana, Christipher Brewster of Houston, Texas, and Tennelle (Byron) Crody of Angola, Indiana; four grandchildren, Tevin Crody, Brenden Fidler, Ayrn Brewster, and Savannah Brewster; a brother, Garrette Wayne (Helen) Quick of Howe, Indiana, a sister-in-law, Ruth Ann Quick of Fremont, Indiana; and his two pet dogs, Hogan and Schultz. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Erin Lee Quick, two brothers, David and Sidney Quick, and a sister-in-law, Jean Quick. A celebration of Life will be held from 2-4 p.m. Sunday, September 21, 2014 at Sonlight Community Church, 455 North Gerald Lett Avenue, Angola, Indiana. A Memorial Service will follow at 4 p.m. Sunday, September 21, 2014 at Sonlight Community Church, Angola, Indiana, with Pastor Roger Andrews, Pastor Brad Belcher, and Pastor Jared Bignel officiating.
