Corey JewellAge: 47 • WinooskiCorey Jewell, 47 of Winooski passed away unexpectedly on Friday November 4th, 2016. He was born on December 6th, 1968 in Burlington VT, the son of Faye (Wilford) and Gary Jewell. He graduated from Colchester High School in 1987 and attended Nyack College. On June 2nd, 1990 he married his high school sweetheart, Amy (Paradee) Jewell. Corey was a Master Electrician for the Burlington International Airport. He held a special place in his heart for all sports. He played basketball at Colchester High School and Nyack College. He was a member at Rocky Ridge Golf Club where he spent summers working on his golf game. He was an avid fan of the Boston teams and the New York Giants but most of all he loved watching his two children Jordan and Reagan play multiple sports. He was always up for a road trip; no drive was too long and no snowstorm ever stopped him. Corey had the ability to get along with everybody. It was impossible not to have to a good time when he was there. He loved people. He loved his coworkers at the Burlington International Airport and always looked forward to the first big storm of the year where he assisted in plowing the runway. Most of all he loved his family; He always looked forward to the next gathering where he provided endless entertainment. He also enjoyed long walks with his dog, Finn. Corey is survived by his wife, Amy Jewell and his son Jordan and his daughter Reagan, his father Gary Jewell and his wife Marie, sister Heather (Jeff Cory), sister Jennifer (Ryan Whitney), brother Nathan (Kara Jewell). He is also survived by his mother-in-law Linda Paradee, brothers and sisters-in-laws and many special nieces and nephews. Visiting hours will be held on November 9, 2016 from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm with a Memorial Service beginning at 1:00 pm at the Essex Alliance Church, 37 Old Stage Rd. Essex Jct. VT. After the service a reception will be held at the church. The family asks that donations be made to Cystic Fibrosis Foundation 114 Perimeter Road Nashua, NH 03063 to honor his nephew, Graham Cory.
