Cora Rose MillerClyde, TXCora Rose Miller, age 67, went to be with her Heavenly Father on Sunday, May 21, 2017 at Abilene Regional Medical Center in Abilene, TX. She was born on May 28, 1949 in Topeka, Kansas to Hugh Lardner Taylor and Rose (Stockdale) Smith. She was a faithful Christian. Cora loved her Lord above all else. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, daughter, aunt, grandmother and friend. She married Charles "Chuck" Miller on November 28, 1994 in Fort Davis, TX and had resided in Callahan County since 2000. She worked various jobs including secretarial work for a doctor's office in San Angelo. Cora attended the Methodist Church in San Angelo and Oplin Church of Christ. She was part of the Lawn Baptist Bible Study Group and cherished her church family. She will be missed dearly. Those left to cherish her memory are her husband: Charles "Chuck" Miller of Clyde, TX; mother: Rose Smith of San Angelo, TX and step-dad: Dwayne Smith; son: Steven Emfinger and wife Stephanie of Tennyson, TX; step-sons: Ford Odell Miller and wife Katy of Lorenzo, TX and Cody Onell Miller and wife Tammy of Lubbock, TX; brother: Kerry Smith of San Angelo, TX; sister: Collette Cuellar and husband Oscar of San Angelo, TX; brother-in-law: Rodney Miller and wife Nancy of Richmond Hill, GA; sister-in-law's: Linda Major of Roundrock, TX and Delores Bray and husband James of Stonewall, OK; nieces: Amy Dougan and husband Joey and Sara Teague and husband Derrick; grandchildren: Stetsen Emfinger, Stacia Emfinger and Alex, Zack and Raven Rincon; two that held a special place in her heart: Jackie and Tony Rincon and several aunts and uncles. She was preceded in death by her father: Hugh Taylor and brother-in-law: Jack MillerA Celebration of Cora's life will be held at 10:30AM, Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at Highway 36 Church of Christ, located at 10576 TX-36, Abilene, TX.
