We love you Mim!"My grandma was so nice. She would take us to Bear Lake almost every summer. She meant a lot to me, but she's gone now. She died Sunday, Nov. 28, 2010. I love my Grandma Connie." - Carson, age 9 Connie L. Taylor Comish was to everybody exactly what they needed, which meant something different to each person. She began as a daughter, born on Oct. 19, 1953, to her loving parents, LaVall and Gloria Taylor. She soon became a sister to her brother Kevin and enjoyed their many discussions on any subject. In her youth she was a friend, scholar and an example. At Bonneville High she was a valedictorian, Sterling Scholar and a majorette, which included twirling a flaming baton. After graduating she wanted to see the world. With no prior discussion, she announced to her parents that she had joined the Army! While serving her country, she was a Russian translator. It was during this time that she married Scott Snitker and soon became a mother to Jeremy, Suzie, Stephanie and Melanie. In addition to raising four busy kids, Connie was a friend to all around her and became the self-appointed welcoming committee for new members in her ward. After a divorce, Connie earned a master's degree from Weber State University. Later she became a CPA. She enjoyed a successful career working for Swire Coca-Cola and ARUP Laboratories. While working at ARUP, Connie met and fell in love with Jerry Comish. They married on Aug. 25, 2001. Her family grew to include Jerry's sons, Chris and Todd, and their families. Connie was passionate about her family. She enjoyed her annual girls' trip to the Utah Shakespearean Festival and taking her children and grandchildren to Bear Lake. Her favorite holiday was Christmas, which was celebrated year round with cards that went out in the middle of the summer, Christmas trees that stayed up until July and Santas that stayed all year long. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. During her life she served in many callings, her favorite being a Gospel Doctrine teacher. Connie was an example to all with her testimony and faith, which never wavered.Connie is survived by her husband, Jerry Comish; her parents, LaVall and Gloria Taylor; her children, Jeremy (Stacey) Snitker, Suzie (Dave) Clayton, Stephanie (Mike) Fleming, Melanie Snitker, Chris (Tina) Comish and Todd (Sheri) Comish; her brother, Kevin (Kathy) Taylor; ten grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
