Clyde Rampart1929 - 2013Clyde Rampart, 83, of Kenosha passed away suddenly Sunday June 30, 2013 in Libertyville, Ill. Clyde was born on Nov. 1, 1929, in Merrill, Wis., the son of the late Oscar and Lillian (Smith) Rampart and graduated High School in the town of Merrill, Wis. He was a member of the U.S. Army, serving from 1952-57 during the Korean War, where he earned a Purple Heart. Clyde was employed as a machinist at Buckson Machine & Screw and Micro Finish and was a member of the Kenosha Moose Lodge and the Silver M Athletic Club in Merrill, Wisconsin. His hobbies included cheering for all Wisconsin sports teams including the Green Bay Packers, Milwaukee Brewers, in addition to bowling, golf, going to casinos, spending time with family and friends as well as his second family at Sunnyside Club. Survivors include his children, Carla Rampart of Libertyville, Ill., Cindy (Tom) Carlson of Chandler, Ariz., Terri (Bob) Pisciotti of Kenosha, John Rampart of Lombard, Ill., and Jeff (Carol) Rampart of Trevor; 11 grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Jerome Rampart, and a sister, Elaine Kinzer. A memorial gathering will be held on Friday July 5, 2013, at Kenosha Funeral Services from 3-7 p.m. with military honors and memorial services to follow at 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, a Junior Bowling Scholarship fund has been established in memory of Clyde Rampart.
