Cleonise Cheramie Cleonise "Toot" D. Cheramie, a native and resident of Galliano, was born on Oct. 26, 1915 and died on Friday, Oct. 12, 2012. A visitation will be held from 5 p.m. till 9 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 25, 2012 at Falgout Funeral Home in Galliano, and from 8 a.m. until funeral time at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 26, 2012 Community Bible. A burial will follow in the Cheramie Cemetery. She is survived by her sons, Elman "Moe" Cheramie and wife Stephanie; daughter-in-law, Eloise Cheramie; sister, Mae Doucet; grandchildren, Linda C. Lafont and husband Jerry, Harry Cheramie and wife Gayla, Lee Cheramie, Emily Cheramie Walz and husband Mark; great-grandchildren, Aaron and Emily Lafont, Noah and Leah Bychurch, Harrison "Huck" Cheramie Walz, Joni P. Duet and husband Jeremy; great-great-grandchildren, Ezra and Finley Duet. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harrison Cheramie Sr.; parents, Leon and Louise Guidry Duet; son, Harrison Cheramie Jr.; grandchild, Myra C. Bychurch; and 18 siblings. Mrs. Chermaie was an avid lover of people and loved football, and was an awesome cook that will be dearly missed by family and friends.
