Clayton Wayne Burnham, age 72, passed away peacefully due to complications following lung cancer on Tuesday, Nov. 15, 2016, in hospice care at his home and with his immediate family present. Service: In accordance with his wishes and those of his wife, Evanthia Burnham, who passed away in 2014, their ashes will be mixed together and scattered in a beautiful and meaningful location where they enjoyed many moments together. Celebration of life: 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 17, in accordance with Clayton's wishes, at The Woods United Methodist Church in Grand Prairie. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, please donate to the cancer benefit of your choosing. Clayton was born on July 31, 1944, in San Angelo, to his parents John and Anne Burnham. He later moved to the Dallas-Fort Worth area, where he had his son, Michael Burnham and where he met his soulmate, Evanthia Burnham, whom he married in 1989. They were married until Evanthia's passing in 2014. Clayton was a loving husband, father, stepfather and grandfather. He had a great sense of humor and many interests throughout his life including sci-fi, computer programming, computer games, astronomy, making music and grilling for family gatherings. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Anne Burnham; and his wife and soulmate, Evanthia Burnham. Survivors: His son, Michael Burnham; his grandchildren, Korey Efferson and Dale Rae Burnham; his great-granddaughter, Catherine Efferson; his stepchildren, Tyson Sommer and Tiffany Jamison; and his step-grandchildren, Marshall and Scarlet Jamison.
