Claude C. JohnsonClaude C. Johnson, age 86, of Ellensburg, WA, a retired accountant, passed away on August 16, 2014, in Ellensburg. He was born on April 12, 1928, in Ellensburg. Claude grew up and attended schools in Ellensburg and in Kittitas where he graduated as valedictorian from Kittitas High School. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps with an honorable discharge. Claude was a member and captain of the Ellensburg Rodeo Posse. Claude enjoyed leather working and woodcraft. Claude is survived by sons, Jeff, Ron, Rick, Paul, and Steve Johnson; and sister, Joan Harris. He was preceded in death by his wife, Erma Johnson, in 2001.
