Clara Lenore BurtonDecember 1, 1933 - March 23, 2017Clara Lenore Burton passed away peacefully with her family with her on Thursday, March 23, 2017, at the age of 83 years. She leaves to cherish her memory two sons, Doug (Anita) Burton of Camrose and Darrell (Michele) Burton of Medicine Hat; four grandchildren, Michael Burton (Christine) of Winnipeg, Eliece Burton of Camrose, Justin Burton and Shantel Burton of Medicine Hat; two sisters Gwen Legaarden of Edmonton and Beth Blackmore of Red Deer; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Lawrence Burton 2006; her parents Agnes and James Dick; and siblings Bill Dick, Elton Dick, Wes Dick, Marj Runciman, Allan Dick, Laurence Dick. Lenore was born on the family farm on December 1, 1933. Lenore became a Registered Nurse in 1955 and worked at Balcarres Hospital. On September 29, 1956 she married Lawrence Burton in Abernethy they lived on the farm where she enjoyed gardening and large family and friend gatherings. She retired from nursing in 1975 and was semi retired working at the Abernethy post office and running the Aber Cafe. They moved to Medicine Hat in 2000. In 2011, Lenore moved to Camrose, Alberta. A graveside service will be held at the Abernethy Cemetery, Abernethy, Saskatchewan date and time to be announced.
