Clara Dixson CollinsKnoxville, TNClara Dixson Collins entered eternal rest on August 16, 2017. She was born on March 16, 1920 to the late Charlie and Beulah Styles Dixson. She was the last of nine children to pass; living to the ripe age of 97 years old. Besides her parents and eight siblings, she was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Collins and three nephews, Linwood Holloway, Sr., David "Friday" Dixson, Jr. and Elder A.C. Dixson, Sr. and one great nephew, Rudy C. Stinson, Jr. She leaves to cherish her loving memory: nieces and nephews, Aquila Cantrell, Lawrence (Mary) Dixson, Sr., Rev. Shirley D. (Wylie) King, Sr. Ida Mae Dixson and Mary Joyce Dixson; a host of great and great great nieces and nephews. On Friday, August 25, 2017, the family will receive friends at 11:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. with a Celebration of Life service to follow at Open Door Church at 2806 Sherman Street Knoxville, TN 37921 with Pastor Steve A. Simpson, Sr. officiating and Reverend Keith Cooper of New Birth Church of Christ, Detroit, MI as the eulogist. Interment will immediately follow at New Gray Cemetery where a white dove release will conclude the service. Flowers may be delivered to the church the day of the service.
