Clara Bennett1918 - 2013Clara Bennett, 94, of Pleasant Prairie, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family, Monday, Oct. 28, 2013, at her residence.She was born on Dec. 22, 1918, to the late Leon and Mary Terlep in Chicago, Ill.In July of 1965 she married James W. Bennett Sr. in Pleasant Prairie.Clara worked at AMC/Chrysler for many years.Clara was a member of St. Marys Lutheran Church and the Ladies Guild. She was very active in the church and was in charge of taking care of communion. Clara was also a member of the UAW Local 72.Clara enjoyed crafts, making dolls and was an avid gardener.Clara is survived by her husband James; her children, Ellen (Nat) Manning of Florida, Dennis (Dee) Landerman of Arkansas, James (Sue) Bennett Jr. of Illinois, Greg Bennett of Louisiana, Mike Bennett of Floria, Jan Greenwood of Wisconsin and Ruth (Jeff) Johnson of Wisconsin; her 13 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.She is preceded in death by a son Robert and her son-in-law, Gary Greenwood, two sisters and three brothers.Funeral services for Clara will be held on Saturday, Nov. 2, at 11 a.m. at St. Marys Lutheran Church (2001 80th St.). Private entombment will take place at Sunset Ridge Memorial Park.
